Prayer at St Peter's

A space for quiet reflection, heartfelt prayer, and hope in God's presence.

Forget Me Not Tea at St. Peter's

Welcome to Prayer

Prayer lies at the heart of our Christian life and is a vital part of how we respond to God's presence and grace. At St. Peter’s, we set aside time to gather in prayer — not only for ourselves, but for the world around us.

While our prayer time shares the spirit of our Sunday worship, it is more informal and reflective. It offers space to pause, listen, and lift up the needs of our community, our nation, and the wider world.

We pray for peace, justice, good governance, and for all who are facing hardship, illness, or uncertainty. We also take time to pray for our church family and for one another, trusting in God's love and care.

Our prayer gatherings usually take place in the church and last for about an hour. All are welcome — whether you come with words, with silence, or simply with a heart open to God.

"Prayer may not change the world instantly, but it changes us — and that changes everything."
